Afriponics Marketing Cooperative Limited Society is an agribusiness cooperative registered on 23rd Dec 2021 under Registration No. CS/26579 signed by Commissioner for Cooperative Development in Nairobi, Kenya. We were born out of the Young Africa Works (Y.A.W) project in Ngong, Kibiko and have risen to become an independent group of youthful farmers who are striving to achieve food security in our country. Our farmers grow horticultural crops in both soil and hydroponics greenhouses and the Cooperative is mandated to seek for market by aggregating their produce and getting the best price out in the market via contracts with off-takers and institutions.  The crops grown include tomatoes, capsicum, and cucumbers for local market, and most recently, herbs for export market to European countries. Others do value-addition of the produce into sauces and condiments, others install vertical food gardens for residential apartments and offices, while others rear rabbits, livestock, chicken and BSF (Black Soldier Fly). Our cooperative is an umbrella that seeks to market all these goods and services and give our member farmers a better platform and opportunity to grow and expand their businesses.
